September - Building Ojas
Ojas is a substance in the Vedic sciences that is thought to be responsible for vitality, strength, health, long life, immunity and mental/emotional wellness.
This month we build ojas, the sweet nectar, the juice, the essence that keeps us alive!

The Movement

The Practice
One of my favorite practices to build ojas is abhyanga. This is a sacred practice of self-massage, calming the tissues and the nervous system to become adaptable to whatever comes your way.
You will need about 1/4 cup warm oil, a dry brush (optional), and an old towel you don’t mind getting oily.
The Recipe
This delicious elixir is my go to before bed, or anytime I am feeling overwhelmed, scattered and anxious. Enjoy this sweet mug of heaven.
